Mark Wentzel, P.S.M.

Mark is currently the director of the firm’s survey and mapping group. With over 30 years of experience in the surveying industry, he oversees all of the surveying efforts for Johnson Engineering. Mark received a bachelors of science degree in surveying and mapping from the University of Florida in 1987 and immediately started working for Johnson Engineering. He became a professional surveyor and mapper in 1993. Mark has successfully managed both public and private sector projects with an emphasis on Florida Department of Transportation surveys, construction layout surveys and ACSM boundary surveys.

 

Matt Howard, P.S.M.

Matt has more than 32 years of experience in the field of surveying, including 18 years as a licensed professional surveyor and mapper. Matt is the survey manager for our LaBelle office, and was born, raised and currently resides in Hendry County. Matt has been considerable experience performing boundary, topographic, route, construction, GPS and mortgage surveys throughout Hendry, Glades and surrounding areas.

 

Kevin RisCassi, P.S.M.

Kevin is a project manger and the Fort Myers field crew supervisor who oversees the productivity of ten surveying field crews. He is responsible for the continued development of the field personnel, ensuring that fundamental knowledge and the latest technology is available and understood by his team. Kevin has 15 years of experience successfully providing both residential and commercial clients with control, boundary, topographic, route, and hydrographic surveys, as well as right of way mapping on transmission lines, and construction staking. He was instrumental in helping introduce and development of our current hydrographic and GPS capabilities and has performed numerous hydrographic surveys on local waterways.

 

Mike Norman, P.S.M.

Mike is a project surveyor in our Fort Myers office. During his 26 years of surveying experience, Mike has been involved with a wide range of surveying projects from preparing aerial control design surveys for the modifications of golf course communities to preparing the subdivision plans for medical facilities. Mike has performed extensive boundary survey work on the barrier islands, including the preparation of submerged land leases and mean high water surveys.

 

Barry Syren, P.S.M.

Barry has been surveying for Johnson Engineering for 30 years and has managed the firm’s Naples surveying group for the last ten years. He has performed and managed construction staking, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, design surveys. He has provided staking for Florida Power and Light distribution and transmission lines and has prepared sovereign submerged lands leases and easements. Barry regularly provides design surveys for all market groups within the company.

  

Scott Copeland

Scott is the field director of our subsurface utility engineering services.  He provides direction and oversight for all our utility mapping and hydrographic surveying operations. He is responsible for the daily scheduling and tasking for the teams operating our subsurface utility engineering assets as well as our hydrographic equipment. Scott has 25 years of surveying experience, demonstrating skills in control surveys, boundary, topographic, route, hydrographic, and construction surveying. Scott and his team are trained in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety regulations, maintenance of traffic (MOT) regulations, Sunshine State One Call requirements and other unique aspects of SUE technology.
