Matt Howard, P.S.M.

Matt is the Director of the Surveying & Mapping group and oversees all surveying efforts for the company. He has more than three decades of experience in the field of surveying. He joined Johnson Engineering in 2000 and became a partner of the company in 2005. Matt has performed numerous surveys for the public and private sector throughout Hendry and Glades Counties for many years and has intimate knowledge of the Southwest Florida area. His work has included boundary surveys, topographic surveys, route/right-of-way surveys, construction layout and control surveys.

Mark Wentzel, P.S.M.

Mark is a project manager for firm’s survey and mapping group. Mark received a bachelors of science degree in surveying and mapping from the University of Florida in 1987 and immediately started working for Johnson Engineering. He became a professional surveyor and mapper in 1993. Mark has successfully managed both public and private sector projects with an emphasis on Florida Department of Transportation surveys, construction layout surveys and ALTA/ACSM boundary surveys.

Barry Syren, P.S.M.

Barry has been surveying for Johnson Engineering since 1978 and has managed the firm’s Naples surveying group since 1991. He has performed and managed construction staking, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, design surveys. He has provided staking for Florida Power and Light distribution and transmission lines and has prepared sovereign submerged lands leases and easements. Barry regularly provides design surveys for all market groups within the company.

Mike Norman, P.S.M.

Mike is a project surveyor in our Fort Myers office. Since 1989 when he joined Johnson Engineering, Mike’s has been involved with a wide range of surveying projects from preparing aerial control design surveys for the modifications of golf course communities to preparing the subdivision plans for medical facilities. He has performed extensive boundary survey work on the barrier islands, including the preparation of submerged land leases and mean high water surveys.

Kevin RisCassi, P.S.M.

Kevin joined Johnson Engineering in 2001 and is a project surveyor in our Fort Myers office. Kevin’s experience is in successfully providing both residential and commercial clients with control, boundary, topographic, route, and hydrographic surveys, as well as right-of-way mapping on transmission lines, and construction staking. He was instrumental in helping introduce and development of our current hydrographic and GPS capabilities and has performed numerous hydrographic surveys on local waterways.

Mark Texter

Mark is a project manager and the Fort Myers field crew supervisor who oversees the productivity of the surveying field crews. Mark and is responsible for the continued development of the field personnel, ensuring that fundamental knowledge and the latest technology is available and understood by his team. Mark has more than 30 years of land surveying experience ranging from a rodman on a survey crew, to the owner of his own land surveying business, with an emphasis on construction surveying. Mark has worked extensively on construction sites and numerous boundary surveys ranging from one-quarter acre lots to 10,000 acre tracts.

Mark is a licensed Florida surveyor and mapper with 30 years land surveying experience throughout Florida. He has extensive experience across the full range of surveying disciplines, with a background in projects for transportation, land development, utilities, environmental and construction surveying. Mark is responsible for managing all aspects of project management involved with public and private sector surveying projects.
