Project Profiles

HealthPark DRI
Johnson Engineering has been involved with the Lee Memorial HealthPark complex from its inception, authoring the original DRI and obtaining all necessary construction permitting. The planning consisted of approximately 83-acres of interconnected lakes to form a single system. HealthPark Florida is a 400-acre mixed use complex that includes 968,603 square feet of acute care specialty hospital space, 340,000 square feet of medical and general office space, 200,000 square feet of medical education facilities, 310,000 square feet of retail space, 530 ALF units, 326 beds of assisted living, 240 beds of nursing care, 510 residential dwelling units, 132 lodging units, 60,000 square feet of recreational space, and 27,000 square feet of campus services.

Page Field Commons
Johnson Engineering served as lead civil engineer for Page Field Commons, a 45-acre shopping center located on Page Field in Fort Myers. Page Field Commons is a joint business venture between the Lee County Port Authority and Rhode Island-based developer, Starwood Wasserman.

The Forum
The Forum at Fort Myers Development of Regional Impact is a 706-acre mixed-use development consisting of 1,272,824 square feet of retail, 756,040 square feet of office, 100,000 square feet of industrial, 1,256 residential units, and 552 hotel units. Johnson Engineering’s responsibility with The Forum has involved land use planning, DRI approvals, environmental permitting, stormwater management, traffic/roadway design, and site design work and development approvals. As the development of The Forum matures, Johnson Engineering has provided similar services for projects within The Forum such as Cypress Legends, the Galleria and The Colonnade.

Canterbury School
Johnson Engineering is Canterbury School’s exclusive engineer for all engineering, planning, environmental and landscape architectural needs. Johnson Engineering has worked in conjunction with Barany Schmitt Weaver Architects for over 20 years in the planning, design and permitting for the school facilities and several expansions. Johnson Engineering also provides water management, utilities and zoning services for the school.

 

West Bay Club
West Bay Club is an 866-acre residential development approved for 1,121 mixed use dwelling units consisting of single family detached and attached homes, coach homes, six 20-story high-rise buildings, a Sports Club, Golf Club House, a driving range and an 18 hole award winning golf course. Preservation and restoration of a number of nature preserves allowed this site to be designated an Audubon International Certified Signature Sanctuary. Johnson Engineering has been involved with this project since its original 1996 planned development approval and has obtained environmental, stormwater management and development permitting for the River Brook Run, Chapel Ridge, Laurel Oak, Nature’s Cove, Sunset Tract and Westlake Court communities.
