Project Profiles

Ben C. Pratt - Six Mile Cypress
Six Mile Cypress Parkway from U.S. 41 to Daniels Parkway was designed as a four-lane facility by Johnson Engineering. We provided the design, construction engineering and inspection services for roadway design including a new concrete bridge, four lane railroad crossing, drainage improvements, traffic signal modifications and a very successful maintenance of traffic program.

Del Prado Extension
The City of Cape Coral’s Del Prado Boulevard extension project involved the construction of a new five mile, four-lane extension of Del Prado Boulevard in North Cape Coral to U.S. 41 in North Fort Myers, Florida.

Veronica S. Shoemaker Boulevard
Johnson Engineering provided all surveying needs to design 4.15 miles of new roadway for the City of Fort Myers from Colonial Blvd. to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Veronica S. Shoemaker Blvd. will be widened from two to four- lanes This included all the fieldwork and office work necessary to prepare right-of-way maps, sketches and descriptions for parcel takings and easements and engineering design drawings.

Goodlette-Frank Road
The Goodlette-Frank Road Widening project includes widening 2.9 miles of the existing two-lane road from Pine Ridge Road to Vanderbilt Beach Road for Collier County Department of Transportation. The proposed roadway cross-section consists of six-lanes for the southern portion of the project and four lanes for the remainder of the project. The four-lane segment is designed to accommodate the addition of two additional lanes in the future.

Daniels Parkway
Johnson Engineering was awarded the contract to provide the design plans and contract administration for the six-laning of Daniels Parkway for the Lee County Department of Transportation. The six-laning of the 5.4 mile connector to the Southwest Florida Regional Airport consisted of roadway design, design and right-of-way surveys, three bridge widenings, three new bridges, new traffic signals or modifications to the existing traffic signals at seven intersections, major intersection design at U.S. 41 (State Road 45), access recommendations, at-grade design at the I-75 Interchange, environmental mitigation design and FDOT, SFWMD, FDEP, and USCOE permits.
